Thank heavens he's safe with you now. Yes, I would agree his fear of men
IMO would mean some man scared him. He's young and has to learn to trust
the men in your family. He will, with love, gentleness and lots of treats.
I would let the men in your family take over feeding him his meals.
Food is the most important commodity to a dog and those that feed them
are important to them. I am sure in time he will love them and trust them.
