| Please take in my sick Yorkie...and pay me $1400 ? I belong to a Yorkie meet-up mailing list in the Boston area. I've had my little girl since she was about eleven weeks old and she'll be 11 months old next week, so I'm fairly new but not THAT new.
This morning I received this e-mail, that I'm assuming every other member on the list received: Quote:
Need a Good home for my 2lb Yorkie
Hi everyone I am looking for a good home for my 1yr old 2lb male AKC Yorkie he is very sweet and everyone just falls in love with him when they meet him. He is house trained, fixed and up to date on his shots. He will come with his crate, bed wardrobe, harness, leash, carseat, and prescription food. He eats a low protein diet due to the fact that his liver can not process a high protein diet. He does just fine on his vegetable protein food and has had good liver levels since being on this diet for the past year. We had an ultrasound preformed on him as a puppy to rule out a shunt. I have a 11lb yorkie that is bullying him! I am asking 1,400. for him but will consider less for the right family. Please let me know if you would like to meet.

She included her full name and phone number.
This isn't normal, right? This struck me as really creepy. Who asks $1400 for a sick dog who is on a special diet?
What is going on here? Should I do anything? This kind of makes my tummy hurt.
I mean, when you are trying to adopt out your dog for the right reasons, do you really charge money? And if you do, is it really that much? I know adoption organizations charge money to adopt...and rightfully so. I just can't imagine sending out a random e-mail to random strangers and trying to profit off of a sick dog that I supposedly care about that my supposed other dog is supposedly bullying. I don't like this. Not one bit.
