I say you don't need to match them. Unless you want a wild color like green or yellow. Then i'd paint them one color or the other. I usually go clear on my fingers and red on my toes. My 15 y/o sister always paints like one nail pink then black and alternates. It bothers me so bad. But i suppose it's the 5 year age difference that makes it seem so childish to me. =]
