I agree. A pet is sold on a pet price with limited registration because a breeder hopes to have found a home that will love the pup for ever and ever just the way he/she is and make them their spoiled little babies. Although when I was searching, I did find that females in general are way more expensive, even at pet price. For breeding, males were only like $300 more, and females ranged anywhere from $300 to $1000 for full registration. I don't remember exactly where I saw those prices, as I visited a TON of websites (some not very ethical).
From what you posted, it sounds like your breeder is in it for just the $$$$. You took a pup home at 9 weeks (minimum for the yorkie breed is 12 weeks) and the breeder is willing to change your contract as long as she has some cash in her hands. In other words, she'll give you what you want as long as she can make a buck.
