I've never used washables, but am seriously thinking about it.
I keep mine in a pail until I wash them. I spritz them before so they don't stink- I use either enzyme spray or a white vinegar solution (1:4 dilution with water). Vinegar is cheap and natural and can neutralize urine. I also put a couple lavender drops in my spray bottle. I have about 10 pads but that's for 3 dogs. I do a wash when I am down to the last one
