Hi Everyone -
We have a local dog bakery here in RI that I wanted to mention because I love their treats so much. Another YT member, XMASBABY75 introduced me to them and I will always be grateful to her for that. (Thanks Stacy!!).
Right now, as some of you may know, Barney is recovering from a severe attack of pancreatitis. He is very restricted with food. But, he misses his cookies.
Yesterday I contacted our local dog bakery and found a 2% fat treat called Sadie's. Wow! 2%!! Most treats are much higher in fat. This bakery also discloses the minimum fat and maximum fat so you know exactly what is in there! I've yet to see another treat that discloses maximum fat (they all tell you the "minimum" which means you never really know what the maximum is.) For all dogs, knowing the maximum fat is useful information and for some dogs like Barney, it's crucial information.
There are many varieties of cookies, the prices are reasonable and I can vouch for the fact that they bake them on site using local organic ingredients. The treats can be frozen for longer term use. Plus, they are small 2.5" treats - perfect for our babies. Teddy and Daisy already eat some other treats like Patches Apple and Cooper's Carob. But for Barney, Sadie's is the answer to his cookie cravings!
Here is the link! I hope others who try them love them as much as we do!
