It's step in but that nylon material. I had a over the head harness, but it was slightly big, always loose so I gave it away to my uncle who had chi mixes (larger than Kaji) with a lesson on proper leash walking.
I think I know how this happened. Thursday I took him to the 3rd St Promenade in Santa Monica. It was early, and the stores hadn't opened yet so I knew that there wouldn't be too many people, but there would be some noises and some people that would be new and unfamiliar. I'm trying to teach Kaji to listen to me and focus on me instead of reacting to anything that is scary. He was pulling really hard at first to get away, but got better as our morning went on. He must have gotten rope burns from Thursday! How did I not notice until today????
