Like so many others, I bought an expen for my little guy until he's a little better housetrained. I found that the cheapest one I found was at Tractor Supply Company. The exact same size and brand was $99 at my local Petsmart and I got mine for $39.
I also have carpet in my house, so I found an old piece of laminate in the garage to put under it to protect my floor. Unfortunately, I only bought a 24" ex pen, so Linus has learned to climb right out at night. I found another piece of laminate to put on top, and it has made a world of difference. Not only can he not climb out anymore, but he really prefers having the little roof on there to darken the pen and give him some privacy. I don't keep his roof on all the time, only at night and when I'm at work. The rest of the time, when I'm in the house, he doesn't usually even try to climb out, so I leave it all a little more open. |
