I would be a mess as well.
I've always been lucky enough to have family watch Jackson, but if for some reason they couldn't, I would definitely use a daycare in the area. I was a wreck the first time I left Jackson... he was about 4 1/2 months old and I went to a planned Disney vacation for 5 nights. I missed him sooo much, and I cried when I drove away from the house by myself.
