I read this thread and the other one just to try to figure out what the deal was before I posted. My initial thought was "this is a joke." After reading both threads in their entirety, I realized that it's not a joke...it's just ridiculous.
To the OP. You came on, and despite the fact that you did get some rather blunt responses right from the start, seems to me like you have done just as much to fuel the fire you are now so desperately trying to extinguish. You have insulted members here, called people rude and snobs and more and are now trying to 'rally' people to "change" the forum to
your liking? Is it honestly any surprise that you are not feeling very "welcomed" at this point?
Some of the comments and generalizations you have made are by far some of the most judgmental I've ever seen here...and that's really saying a lot! I guess I just didn't realize that YT was in need of a crusade to rid it of all it's evils.
There are so many members here that share so much and that are active on this forum every single day and who have been here for years. So it seems to me like maybe YT isn't as bad as you are trying to make it out to be...at least not to the majority of the members here who seem pretty darn happy.
I understand why you were a bit caught off guard with some of the initial comments made to you, but good grief...condemning the site and it's members so quickly before you ever really gave it a fair chance to see what is was REALLY all about?
If you don't want to take the time to get to know the members here and see what a positive forum this is 99% of the time, then that is of course your choice, but it is really unfortunate and ultimately your loss.
