Seriously, I'd "want" her around 12-16 weeks, but maybe a little older due to her small size.

However, if you read our very strict quarantine law, any dog coming into Hawaii has to go into quarantine for 120 days in a pen in Oahu (which I would NEVER do to a dog). The procedure to avoid the long quarantine involves a very strict set of rules, having the dog microchipped, and must have 2 sets of rabie shots a certain length of time apart... ; then they can be brought in with a much less quarantine time like 5 days at a vet on Maui (don't quote me, just trying to remember??). It seems like with all the rules and timing the pup would be about 10 months old before being cleared, then there is the flight over, and of course I'd hope she could fly in-cabin and not cargo.

So, maybe it is possible, but difficult, and I wouldn't get to have a "baby", but a little older one. I do think about it though, and then have to ask myself how many dogs is too many ?? I'm addicted to these lil' buggers and can't stop myself.
