There are many members on this site that like to talk about the nitty gritty, and only because they love their yorkies as much as you do and love discussing them. As a YT newbie, I think some of the "phrases" that you used (and I agree with others that you probably were just misinformed about some of the technicalities about your babies), like hybrid and designer, that is what set members off. You have to realize there are so many people out there (of which you're obviously not, I can tell you love your furbabies and would do anything for them) that buy this breed without researching because they want a "purse puppy", and they buy from unethical money hungry breeders who don't care about the care and wellbeing of the breed, only about how many thousands they can make on their "teacups." Anyway, I'm glad you're sticking around, trust me that everyone on here is here for the same reason, we love our yorkies, and we LOVE to talk about them!
I agree. And about the OP's comment about reading all the rude people's post in old threads, that's not what I was trying to say. My point was to read around and you'd get a feel of what YT is really like. For example, the homepage can give you a quick glimpse of what we like discussing. There's a poll going on on Name suggestions for a kitty (fun stuff); an article on chips possibly causing cancer (education that turned into a slight debate); articles on pet overpopulation, a dog that died for not being taken care of properly; and recent threads, all of which the titles give you an example of what we talk about. You don't have to go into everyone's profiles to learn what this site is about. It's all there! We like the fun, the technical, and we like to help each other. That's what YT is about.
I did post a very long and winded post but I wanted the OP to understand where I was coming from, and maybe offer a background to why things like red flags are such button pushers.
