Uni has grade 3 but has only hiked up one leg once. She is on cosequin and is doing great.

How old is your yorkie, bc most young pups will always have loose kneecaps. They should be evaluated again when they get older.
Same thing happened to me. The vet told me that Carmel has LP, but only time can tell if he will need an operation. He said that not all dogs have problems when they have LP...I started freaking out as if my baby just had cancer! I am sooo sad to hear this...luckily he has VPI insurance...

I will get him cosequin too now...my puppy was 4 months when the vet told me he has looser kneecap than normal, now at 8 months the vet said he has LP. Can it still change?
