re-iterated from that thread:
1. 8 weeks is very young, you should try not to transition AT ALL, at this age.
2. once you transition, it needs to be done slowly... how long are you mixing the two foods for during the transition?
An 8 week old puppy should have access to food at all times, but you also need to make sure the puppy is eating multiple meals to keep their blood sugar up.
As the puppy gets older, you can worry about the right amount to feed and making sure they dont gain weight.
