I agree... some contracts are written so its like the new owner has no control over their own animal.
the man things I like to see in a contract are
1. spay/neuter obligation
2. obligation to turn the dog over to the breeder and NOT a shelter, rescue, or new home (unless pre-approved by the breeder) if the situation arises in which they can no longer keep the new puppy.
3. obligation to keep the puppy as an indoor only pet.
