I always wondered this too! When Barney was a wee tot, we put reds in his hair. He would poke his little head out of the spindles of the bannister on our staircase and all you'd see is a little red bow and a button nose. When I started to make my own bows I moved to all colors for the dogs but I have to say that I still think there is something really classy to the red bow on a yorkie
