So my new yorkie, Ruby, has recently met her. We keep them separately in the house but since we got Ruby we let them meet for 10-15 minutes so they can get used to each other.

Last week we went to our summer house for 2 days and they were together in the house but sleeping separately.

Ruby is trying to bite Ritsa's legs! and face! and TAIL!!!! She chases her around all the time and -because Ruby still bites/chews a bit - bites HER ankles too (along with ours-but she's learning not to do that!).

My chihuahua is quite old and fat so she's not very agile but even so, she doesn't snap at Ruby (i think realizing that she's a puppy). the only time Ruby got snapped at was when she went close to Ritsa's bed while Ritsa was in it and when she went close to her food.

Ritsa doesn't like the jumping around, biting legs/tail behavior (she's very antisocial and doesn't really know HOW to play) but still doesn't put a stop to it, so we try to stop Ruby by saying "no" etc. It usually works, for a while. Then she starts all over again

Can Ruby be bossing Ritsa around? Even though she's a pup? And why won't Ritsa stand her ground?

Any thoughts? Thaaaaank youououou!!!
Tobie did this to my other dogs when he wanted to play from day 1 and still does. He is the youngest and smallest and has pretty much made himself the boss or so he thinks. LOL. He always thinks he has to "herd" them up for me when it's time to go outside or if one of them is getting in trouble he will help by barking at them.
