btw does anyone know of a legit place i may acquire a yorkie. i have wanted one all my life and i have never been lucky enough to find one that was in the cards for me.. teacup is what i am looking for. now after reading all these pages of scams, i am afraid now to even venture out. | First off, hello and welcome to YT! You will find a lot of great help and information on here. Most of us on here don't like or use the term "teacup." That is a term used by greedy breeders and pet shops (AKA puppymills) as a way of getting a lot more money out of you. They have no real care or regard for the breed, and they purposefully try to breed teeny tiny dogs in the hopes of getthing thousands of dollars from you. Most dogs under 3 lbs have many, many health problems as a result. You should look for a yorkie that is at least 3 lbs or more (the typical high end weight for a yorkie is 7 lbs, but many members on here have babies that are up to 10 lbs, we call them teapots lol!). You should get in contact with some of the featured breeders on this site. They have so much positive feedback from other members on here, and put the care of their pups above anything else. I got my Sasha from a breeder on this site, and the entire process was fantastic! On an entirely different note, I loved reading this thread (even though it's four years old! )! I was laughing my @ss off during the whold thing! I can't believe these people get away with their nonsense, and that Americans actually fall for it! I love it, keep it up guys! |
