I agree! When Twinkie came into our lives, Halo, our 4 year old male scottie/cairn, was the same way. He really didn't know what to think of her. She would bite, play and growl at Halo. She still does at 8 months old. Halo has finally figured her out and they play all the time. If she gets near something Halo doesn't want her to have, he stands his ground and will let out a mean growl. Twinkie knows what that sound means and she backs away. Everything will be okay. Keep and eye on the two of them, but let them get to know each other.
