my Bichon Daizy has allergies. its a tricky tricky thing, because the thing that is going to help you best is to find out what the puppy is allergic to..( ya I know,)..but when daizy was a puppy her allergies mostly affected her eyes, but now that she is 6 it is skin allergies. and the only thing that has worked for us is using fish oil in her dog food, or using a very good high quality food that is high in omega 3 and 6. we found the dog food called Chicken soup for the dog lovers sole a let me tell you it was unbelievable, in no time all the scratching and hot spots just stopped. I have a golden retriever who has very bad skin allergies since we got her as a puppy, her skin would flake and she would actually get huge bald spots, that looked like a bad case of eczema. and shed omg!! But not anymore, thank god, her skin and coat are beautiful now, and minimal shedding, and I never see her scratch anymore..this stuff has been a godsend, but if you cant find that brand of food, try the fish oil capsules..hope this helps
