Welcome to my "blended" yorkie family.
My husband I have two spayed female yorkies from the same breeder. Since I found my breeder, we have become great friends.
Then, my in-laws dog passed away and they also got a lovely female yorkie, named Lina. Now, Lina was from a friend of my breeders, not actually from my breeder. Keep in mid that all three female girls (my two and my in law's girl) are spayed.
(yes, I know, it sounds like a LSAT question so far).
Enter Jimmy. Jimmy is my breeder's unaltered male that has come to live with me for a while (I was sad and needed a boyfriend

). He is the sweetest most darling champion show dog I have ever met. My husband and my two yorkie girls all LOVE him. Since he has come to live with us, the two crazy females have stopped fighting and started sleeping through the night.
Now, Jimmy does mark in the house, but it isn't a big deal--he just wears a belly band. He never humps toys or my girls.
Last night, my in laws and Lina arrived from "wintering" in Florida. Well, my calm sweet Jimmy went BESERK and kept trying to hump Lina and anything that smelled like her (more specifically, her bed). Lina did not appreciate his attention and kept growling at him. Let's just say that it made for an awkward dinner party.
Do intact males normally go crazy for spayed females? And why that one, and not his two "sisters"?
