BUT! She is not eating. I dont mean she is only eating a little bit. I mean she wont eat anything at all! I have heard some pregnant dogs did this, but I thought it was way further into the pregnancy. I am going to be flying to Dallas next week to get her spayed (Thanks for the referral guys!) but in the mean time, any tips on what I can give her to hopefully entice her to eat? I have tried wet food, semi wet food, and her dry food. She wont even eat treats! I am worried! Please help! |
If your girl is pregnant as we were hoping she wasn't....this would be about her 3rd week, it's very common for a girl to experience morning sickness about this time. She should pick up eating again in a few days. However, there is a sticky with the whelping pudding receipe. Most girls love this. Don't let her go to long without eating......keep NutriCal on hand....she is a tiny and you don't want to her experience hyperglycemia. Breeders become slaves to girls during this time, at times becoming Master Chefs, spoon feeding, hand feeding, doing whatever it takes. Her hormones and taste buds are playing havoc with her.
