I was wondering if you think it is ever to early to start preparing for another puppy? I plan on getting my English Cocker Spaniel from a breeder I've been talking to for awhile in late 2012 or 2013. I don't want to be rushed like when we got my Cody (kind of a "in the moment" thing) and I want to do everything right this time.

the ECS would be my first conformation dog, so I'm going to be going to more shows and participating in Junior handling classes next year.

I was just wondering with the extra money I would have left over (after buying things for myself & cody) in the next 2 years would you think it was crazy to spend that on future puppy items?
