Yeah...maybe baby detergent would work. My boys only do that when they're trying to dry themselves after they have a bath...they go up against our couch, but then they'll run to the other side of the room and rub against the wall...silly furbutts! I just use regular detergent for my boys' blankets and towels, and we haven't had an issue that I'm aware of
