Also, I'm a teacher & have worked with children with learning problems. While I haven't had them around my dog (he's at home, they're at school), he's a very calm dog & would do well with everyone. My best recommendation is that they not get a puppy that's only 8 weeks old or so, that they get a puppy that's a few months older so that they can see her/his personality. When we got Winston there were a few other cute puppies that we were looking at. One was hyper & was making me dizzy to watch it, another was not into us and would just run around (but not was crazily as the hyper one), another was just standing there bored. Winston was excited to see us, wagging his tail & then would roll over to be petted. |
