They are stuffed animals with squeakers, so you will want to supervise at first to make sure that Bilbo doesn't demolish it. Also, if you try these toys, make sure they are Bow Wows and not regular Ty Beanie Babies, which have plastic eyes -- potential choking hazard.
The other thing I do is sew little stuffed shapes out of polyester materials that have a tight weave -- can't get their teeth into the material to tear it apart. I fill the toys with inexpensive batting that is washable.
Most of the toys I see at the pet stores are made of fuzzy materials that my guy eats. String toys are out of the question for us too. | Those are so cute!
