She is still young.
my dog gets excited when she meets new people I think that is common. I would rather have her friendly than growling or trying to bite.
As for going outside I would make her sit and wait until you go out the door first that way she learns that she doesn't just bolt out the door.
We had to train Daisy not to bolt out the door bc she would run off and it would take us hours to catch her.
I had teenagers coming in and out of the house and Daisy seized every opportunity to bolt out the door and then it was a game of CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!!
That got very old after we had a scare and a spray of a skunk.
So I would teach your dog now, not to bolt out the door. Good luck
