My son was telling me how the dogs would follow them on missions and the mother dog would crawl on the ground with them and growl when she heard someone. I just couldn't believe it! He said it was really hard leaving her and the pups at the end of his tour, but the next group of guys took very good care of the pack. It just melted my heart...
