This does not have to do with yorkies, but the other day I was watching the news, and they highlighted this group of people who volunteer to spend time with and pay attention to the dogs of men who have been called away to the service.

Mostly these were big dogs (you know how it is, the man in the family has a rott, or pit, or shephard), and the wife considers it the "husband's dog". These dogs are used to a man, and doing physical guy type activities.

So these men volunteer to go over and spend time with the dog, or take it to the lake or things that "daddy" did with the dog when home. I thought that was just the neatest idea. There are so many ways that we can help our service men, but who would have thought of this. My hat is off to these kind people.
