From the day I mate a female to the day the pups go to their forever homes I am nervous. When that time comes to whelp out a litter I am a ball of nerves. I sit with moms and "push" with them! My belly ends up hurting from the nerves and the all the pushing I do
. I have never had a "relaxing" pregnancy or birth. From making sure the moms are eating well to making sure the pups are weaned and healthy...it is a rollercoaster ride for sure. I often wonder if I am cut out to do this too...
