Funny, I am going through the same thing! Oliver and I were going to bed last night, and I went to pet him and felt this mass on his back... I FREAKED... I cried nearly all night watching him sleep, thinking the worst (lost my last dog to cancer). Even posted for prayers on YT, but after researching it and talking to my vet realized it is likely from his rabies vaccine last week. I know exactly how you feel! It's an awful feeling...
My vet did warn that it could take months to go away.. she said just to watch it and make sure it isn't growing any larger. She didn't sound at all concerned about it.
