Thanks everyone for your good thoughts, prayers, and advice.

I did talk to the vet, and she thinks it is from the rabies shot. The timetable for this is perfect, so she told me just to keep an eye on it - if it causes pain or seems to get bigger, bring him in. I feel a LOT better about it.. I was seriously freaking. We are going to bed very early tonight, as I didn't sleep a wink last night, lol.
