Tiger went for his first grooming two weeks ago. He hated to be brushed and therefore had gotten some mats in his hair closer to his belly. You couldn't tell just by looking at him, but you could feel them. Anyway. . . the groomer did a great job on him and gave me one of her secrets. She uses a metal comb and winds a rubber band through it. The mats comb out and it does not hurt. He seems to like it much better than a brush. I have even been able to comb him and there's no running away. I guess you could use one made for people, but she sold these in her place. She just gave me this one and told me to continue using it and he would become more accustomed to being handled in this way. Hope this helps!
