You said you worked at her HS, are you a teacher? Or maybe you can try to talk to some teachers and see if they can put some puppymill awareness (videos or something) into the lesson plan one of these days. People hear about them, but usually not until they see videos do they really get it. I dunno, just a thought.
I'm a secretary to one of the assistant principals. There is a group at school for abandoned/abused animals that was started up this year which is good, but honestly, this girl is only concerned about how "cute" puppies are and really has no idea on the care, love an expense that goes along with it. Hopefully, she has learned something from this, but I highly doubt it.
