A lot of people had a hard time with the term, "Negro" in the census. That word has not been used in decades and has a negative conotation.
What were they thinking? |
HAHAHAHA!!! I guess I'll leave it blank then. Hehehe....
I agree we're all so mixed that we don't know what we are. For example, I know I have both indigenous and Spanish blood mixed in my family. How do I know? First, my last name is Nieto, definitely not indigenous so it had to come from somewhere. My older brother has very light skin, and lighter brown eyes (I swear there is a hint of green!) yet my younger brother and I are very brown, or tan with dark brown eyes and dark hair. Kids in highschool went as far as thinking my older brother and I were dating! YUCK!!!! We look so different yet we have the same parents. I can definitely tell we're mixed!
