I find it funny that for the purpose of the census anything Latino isn't a "race." So I have no idea what to put! I joked around and my family has come to a conclusion. Technically there are only three races: Black (African), White (Caucasian), and Asian. We had a rep from the census bureau come to our school who stated that is you are latino, you should check "White," then specify your country of origin.
A lot of people had a hard time with the term, "Negro"

in the census. That word has not been used in decades and has a negative conotation.
What were they thinking?
