B%#!ch for a reason...just kidding Females are so harsh! I have a 1 year old male Schnorkie, 2 1/1 year old male Yorkie and my boyfriends medium sized (get this) Rhodesian Ridge-back whippet cross) were all bullied by my 5 month old mini schnauzer who was smaller than all of them. She was water aggressive, weird I know she would torpedo them from across the room and use her head like a ram to get where she wanted and take what she wanted. i would pick her up take away whatever and put her on time out. finally she realized that having to go to her kennel or her play pen or just in my arms wasn't the result she wanted, schnauzers are especially stubborn dogs and females are so much more domonant and territorial! I have separate feeders for all of them as they get different food sfor their ages and weights and health needs, which curbed the food issue, persaverance is key! Will she let you handle her when she eats? If she's agro with you too when you pet her or take her food then its a food agression issue, if not its just a sdominance issue, as far as the potty training and chewing, she's a puppy you just have to be firm and Consistant, consistant, consistant, Princess (the mini schnauzer) chewed everything! She's been here a couple months now and is finally undering stadnign "drop it" "don't touch" and "get your...ball/rope/squeeker etc" I teach them the name of their toys, tricks are great too not just to teach your dogs tricks like sit, lay (I don't do lay down as it confuses them with down) roll over walk..because trick training occupies their minds and makes them focus and listen in order to get a reward, harnessing their energy in a positive way really cuts down the rest of the issues. Puppies are hard, their like toddlers with ADHD you can't give em chocolate...seriously I watch all kinds of dog shows, liek dog whisperer, me or the dog, dog 911 etc for tips and such and entertainment not to mention all the training videos you can watch for free online, GOOD LUCK! |
