What was the medicine you gave her called, I think you will get a lot more constructive criticism if people know the wormer being used as to know what worm you are dealing with. My Elvis came to me and I get FULL testing done for my dogs, anywho he came to me with whip worms, I too was panicked, he had a three day meds reg. and now he's on a heart-worm medicine that prevents the other worms in my area as well. I give him Iverheart, whip worms are not in my region. It is import to know the parasite issues in your specific region and the surrounding regions...incase you get a visiting dog, treating for every possible parasite is a bit extreme, anyways all my dogs are on Iverheart and frontline plus to prevent parasites, I gave all my all my dogs Panacor for worming. THE MOST IMPORT THING WITH WORMS IS CLEANING UP POOP!!!! Sounds awful but try not to let your dog poop on grass or soil, cement or tile is easier to disinfect, if it is whip worms once they are in the soil they are a real stinker to get out I'm told, you may also consult a local nursery to find out about soil cleansing for parasites in their gestational periods, personally we use a pest control service who sprays the yard once a month with a solution safe for dogs and children, it is designed strictly for insects livers to be unable to process, if you want I will enquirer about the name of it for you. If the worms are small and hanging on the bottom like little pieces of rice, they're tape worms if they are larger and coming out the dewormer is working on large tape worms or another kind, whip worms I was told a microscopic and personally I saw no worms in Elvis' pooh...but call the vet to be safe, and make sure you feel not only full informed when you get off the phone or leave the office but that you can educate others, and clean up all poop the minute it s the ground, then disinfect the area. Was the wormer a 3 day treatment or a once a month treatment? Hope I was helpful.
