Dangerous territory when they won't let others near their food. Could cause true problems down the road. Have you attempted to take the food from her when she's eating? If not but you would like to try use soemthing other than your hand to reach for the food first, just in case. Establishing true alpha behavior on your part will help as well as others here have stated. Potty training is very difficult with ANY pure breed...no idea why but it took my Gizmo almost 7 months to get it. Patience, love and some simple games should help as well. I got a very short hard cover book on Yorkshire Terriers and studied. It included first aid, training (simple tricks), grooming, etc. As soon as I can find it I will post the title for you.
