Default A little ready - and a LOT nervous...

Am I nuts for being nervous and not overly excited about bringing home my new yorkie?

She has a name (finally).. I'm buying the xpen this weekend... she has a bed... I have some nutrical... I plan on buying a collar after I get her, likely one with a bell so I don't step on her... I have some pee pads.... I have an old harness that should fit her.... the breeder is sending me home with food.... so I'll buy that later. She comes home next Friday.........

And I am so nervous!!! Oliver was 1.5 (ish) when I got him. He was mostly potty trained by his foster family and had few accidents. I have NEVER potty trained before. I was 12 when we got our first dog, and really didn't have a role in the training (which is why that dog was such a brat, but I sure loved him, lol). I've been doing alright with Ollie... but he's not a puppy.

I feel physically ready. I have or have plans to get everything she needs. I'm just SO nervous about caring for this 3 pound little life. She is BIG for 12 weeks.... how do people do it with 1 pounders...

I went to visit her this week, and she's really coming around.. she's calm when you hold her, and playful with her brothers when you let her free. She's exactly what I've always wanted in a dog.. so why am I so darn nervous about it? I'm old enough to have children for goodness sakes.. I can handle a puppy!

Right?.....
