I understand sometimes the research comes too late, just thought that may be why the vet is confused.
Her chances are increased for Parvo, which just means you need to take more precautions, it doesnt mean she WILL get it.... I would keep her inside as much as possible and make sure she has no contact with other dogs until she has finished all her vaccines! If you do this and keep her areas very clean... you can get through this just fine!
