I wash my grass 1x a week. I have two dogs that are mad pissers (LOL).
I put the grass into a zipped up pillow case, I use tide, white vinegar and bleach in the cycle. When done, I hang the grass overnight on a rack, it is dry and ready for the next morning.
I pick the poop off with toliet paper and flush. If there is ever yucky soft poop, I use paper towel and Simple Solutions to clean that area off.
