Awee. So glad to hear that everything is going well so far and surgery went well too. It gets easier as the time goes on! My little girl just passed her 2nd week of recovery and you'll be surprised at how soon they are themselves again.

The first few days will be tough, but believe me you are through the toughest part, all the worrying, running to vets, the surgery, etc...

You're little guy probably won't want to eat much the first day or two. He'll appear to be pretty depressed too but that's a result of the anesthesia and his body getting use to the meds. That's how my girl was. But I did make sure to feed her some baby food and some yogurt. I put the food on her medicine syringe and gave it to her with her pain meds and she would lick the food right off while taking her medicine too.

You can also try rubbing nutri cal on their gums too to make sure their blood sugar doesn't get too low if they aren't eating that much the first few days.

Hang in there. You're little guy will be home soon and things will get much much better!
