Have you done junior handling? It's possible to have a show dog while you're in school if you can afford to pay for someone else to maintain the show dog and expenses associated with the sport. It would be very very hard and expensive. But if you really want something you can move mountains.

As for the care of the ECS, I'd more than likely be primary caretaker. The grooming I would more than likely have to hire someone to do and then under a mentor, train myself to maintain it.

I'm starting to look into Junior Handling (finding mentors, find a dog, etc).

The main expenses I guess would be the boarding, year cost of owning any dog, and the show expenses and traveling expenses.
