Your dog will eat or drink if it gets hungry enough. I know Teddi is scared of the bowls but she sneaks up on it and grabs one kibble and then runs in the living room to eat it. She doesn't seem to mind the water as much but you dog won't starve himself. I'm sure because you had babied him he is used to it. Just leave the food there and if he doesn't eat one day he will definitely eat the next day!
