My poor sweet Halo has been sick for about a week now. She's throwing up and will not eat. She was at the vet Friday and he gave her a shot for upset tummy and 2 different meds (one for vomitting/diarreah, one anti-biotic). Had her back there yesterday....she won't eat anything. He gave her fluids and found her Bun a little elevated. Changed her anti-biotic and sent us home. She's peeing very little, still won't eat and threw up again last night. I've been giving her sugar water with a syringe. Brought her back today, he kept her and is flushing her again and wants to keep an eye on her the rest of the day. I asked about the possiblity of a blockage, but he says she doesn't have one, even though he didn't x-ray. Do you all think a vet can tell by feel?
Even though my Halo is a teapot, she's already lost 3 lbs. Any advise/comments anyone has would be appreciated.
