When she would wake me, I took her to a small bathroom and let her use a puddle pad and have a drink, then it was right back to the kennel. She did better with this. It wasn't long before she made it though the night. Now she sleeps with me and if she needs to use a pad, she justs walks up and down on me until I wake up and put her on the floor. She will use her pad and come back to be picked up. I hope this helps. |
You and I must think alike. I have 4 yorkies. 3 sleep in the bed with us. But Blazer my youngest one is 11 months old and really tiny. He weighs 3 pounds, and I'm afraid to let him get in the bed with us, for fear he might fall off the bed or get squished! So I cleared off my nightstand and put a small kennel on it. It's like right beside my pillow, I think he can actually smell me! It didn't take long for him to get used to it, because I think he liked the coziness of it. He's got his silkie blankie in there, so it's really cushie. I just put him on the table and he walks in!
