I just had my pom in last week for dental and eye surgery and the same thing she hadn't eaten since 9pm the day before and she LOVES her food. They told me to give her just a little food, I came home gave her 1/2 meal ans a few sips of water and she was fine so every 1/2 hour I gave her a little food and more water, and she was fine. I would try a little food if he has no problems give him a little more. Maya was so thirsty so I kept giving her sips she tried to keep me from taking it away each time I felt so bad for her!
