It is definitely the generation of "all about me" and "right now"; whether it be the moral thing to do or not. People do not care until it effects them, usually through the health issues that face their pup! Then suddenly their eyes are open, only it is too late by then. Sad, but too true!

All I can say, is that you did the honorable thing and tried your best to educate her!
