I was also very worried when Daisy was spayed, particularly because she barely weighed 4 lbs. I felt much better after authorizing all of the pre-surgical bloodwork needed, so that there were no surprises.
Our vet used dissolveable stitches, and there was no need for the dreaded 'cone of shame.' She slept the day of her surgery, but the next day we were fighting to keep her from climbing on the furniture and chasing the cats!
Try not to worry too much, I'm sure it will be fine!
